MY STORY

I've always been passionate about design, craft, nature and sustainability. Millbee combines all my passions. For me, it's not just about creating products. I am a mother with two young kids and I want to create something meaningful and to consider the impact this has on our kids future. Being a sustainable brand is important to me. When I started making and using beeswax food wraps it felt good to be doing something positive for the environment. It made me more aware of how much plastic we actually use and how we can change this. Being sustainable is a journey and I think if we all make one little change it's a start in the right direction.
I'm also a beginner beekeeper (it takes years to become an expert!). I'm surrounded by a great community of Beekeepers in the Midlands of Ireland where I also keep bees.
I love good food and cooking. I like to batch cook and store my meals and this was another great reason to make beeswax food wraps. Join me on a sustainable journey as we work towards creating a more natural living and use less plastic.

Our Products

Here at Millbee Studio, we want to tackle the issue of plastic pollution while promoting a sustainable alternative.  Through combining organic cotton with beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin our Beeswax Wraps are washable and reusable. Providing an environmentally conscious solution to plastics.  We also make beeswax candles and a natural balm in our Studio.

Sustainability, Bees and Biodiversity

Our vision is to produce fair and ethically sourced products. This is vital in our ethos as we recognise the importance of supporting Bees and honey production.  Bees are some of the most important crop pollinators. They increase the production of about 75% of our crops. Bees provide critical pollination for many variations of ecological processes.  There are many steps that can be taken in order to support bees and their biodiversity work! Do your bit by encouraging your local councils and farmers to plant fallow fields in your community. Reduce your pesticide use by filling your garden with diverse, native plant species.  These are little steps that go a long way to supporting biodiversity. Anyone can create a pollinator-friendly space!
