How do Millbee Beeswax Wraps work?

Cover your desired item with your Millbee Beeswax Wrap, use your hands to wrap the item. The warmth from your hands activates the Beeswax natural properties that allow it to secure itself across kitchenware and fresh produce.  The Beeswax Wrap will hold its seal once it starts to cool down.

Plus, the Beeswax Wrap allows your food to breath.

Keep anything covered - cheese, fruit, dough, veg, bread, herbs!

We recommend you don't use our wraps for raw meat or fish.

How do I take care of my Beeswax Wrap?

After use, wash your Beeswax Wrap with mild washing up liquid and cold water.  We recommend  an eco brand such as Lillys Eco clean. Let your wrap air dry naturally and you're ready to reuse your wraps again! Once they are completely dry, store in your drawer, basket or shelf. We like to store them in a drawer with tea towels and clean cloths for easy access!

Keep your Beeswax Wraps away from naked flames and hot food/items.

Our Beeswax Wraps cannot be used in the microwave.

How long will my Beeswax Wraps last for?

Millbee wraps can last up to 6 months or more. After a couple of uses, creases may appear where the wrap has been folded. This is a natural part of ageing for the wraps and does not affect the sealability of the wrap.

Due to its natural construction, the beeswax wraps can sometimes become a little rough to the touch after continued use. In this case, simply place wraps on a flat tray, pop them in the oven (approx. 180°C) for around 10-20 seconds and the wraps will be effortlessly renewed.

When your Beeswax Wraps life comes to an end you can add it to the compost.

Can I put Beeswax Wraps in the freezer?

Of course! Millbee wraps last up to a month in the freezer. When you remove from the freezer allow to come to room temperature before unfolding.

How to revive beeswax food wraps

You can revive wraps that become dry by placing on a baking sheet in oven (150°) for a 1-2 minutes (check from 30 seconds as you just want to melt the wax). When you take out of the oven hold by the corners until it cools and the wax hardens. Be careful not to burn your fingers!
